At Lost Art Apothecary, we strive to always use the highest quality ingredients in the industry to create topicals that truly are food for your largest organ; your skin. At the basis of every one of our formulas are food-grade extra virgin oils, traditional herbs, vitamins and whole nutrients. Each of our ingredients is USDA Certified Organic, besides potassium sorbate; a natural shelf-life extender. 

See below for some of our featured ingredients and just some of their powerful properties. While the FDA doesn't allow medical claims, our intention below is to show how each ingredient was used both traditionally and today, and are backed with relevant peer-reviewed studies.

Arnica has been used since the 1500's for a wide range of conditions, including bruises, sprains, muscle aches, wound healing, joint pain, inflammation from insect bites.

Long used by Native Americans, Jojoba is applied directly to the skin for acne, psoriasis, sunburn, & chapped skin. The Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins help skin repair & damage control.

Mahonia aquifolium

Studies have shown this medicinal herb to have anti-inflammatory properties useful in cutaneous disorders, primarily psoriasis.
